Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience required License: CRCST or CSPDT certification required Certifications: CBSPD, IAHCSMM/HSPA, IAHCSMM or CBSPDS Must-Have: - Experience with decontamination of all items, including drills, scopes, and DaVinci equipment - Assembly of all instruments in various service lines - Knowledge of sterilization processes, including Sterrad and steam methods - High-level disinfection experience Description: We are seeking candidates who are experienced in all areas of Sterile Processing. The role involves decontamination of various surgical instruments and equipment. Candidates will assemble instruments for multiple service lines, ensuring proper packaging. A thorough understanding of sterilization processes, including steam and Sterrad, is essential. Experience with high-level disinfection and scope reprocessing is highly preferred. Familiarity with tracking systems and sterilization practices is also required. The position requires a strong emphasis on aseptic techniques during instrument preparation. The Sterile Processing Technician will serve as a clinical liaison in a busy operating environment. Travel may be required between various locations.
