An exciting opportunity awaits for an Occupational Therapist to make an immediate impact working with both public and private schools in the Heathsville, VA area. This contract position is ideal for a dedicated professional looking to support students’ development in a school-based setting, beginning as soon as possible.

In this role, you’ll provide occupational therapy services across 3 public and 2 private schools, managing a balanced caseload that includes both direct (11 students) and indirect (8 students) services. The schedule offers a flexible opportunity, requiring your expertise on site 2 to 3 days per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver occupational therapy services, including makeup sessions for any missed appointments.
• Offer expert input for IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings and complete progress reports as required.
• Collaborate with school staff, educators, and families to support students’ goals and overall well-being.
• Travel among assigned school locations to provide comprehensive services as scheduled.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Experience working in elementary and/or secondary school environments (public and/or private).
• Strong skills in documentation and progress reporting, specifically relating to IEP development.
• Excellent time management and communication abilities.
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic caseload and multiple school settings.
