Join us in shaping the future of energy.Repsol is seeking a Manager, Development to advance utility-scale wind, solar, and energy storage projects in the Eastern U.S. from the project identification stage through start of construction. Candidates can expect to be assigned a more specific geographic focus based on their experience, interest, and the needs of the company.The ideal candidate has direct experience with utility-scale onshore wind and solar development, including site screening, land acquisition, permitting, resource assessment, interconnection coordination, and construction-readiness activities. The candidate should be comfortable working independently in rural communities, negotiating with landowners and local stakeholders, and managing multiple development workstreams with limited supervision. Experience in wind development is strongly preferred.This role reports to the Eastern Region Vice President and is part of Repsol's Eastern Region Development team. This is a hybrid position, with the Houston location encouraged but not required. Remote candidates should expect to travel to Houston at least quarterly to maintain connectivity to the broader team, in addition to project-related travel.Key ResponsibilitiesAdvance one or more priority projects to construction-ready status by:Negotiating all necessary land rights required to construct and operate projects, including but not limited to surface leases, easements, crossing agreements, and mineral waiversSecuring all necessary local, state, and federal permits and authorizations required to construct and operate projectsSecuring local agreements that address tax abatement, road use, decommissioning, community benefits, or other local mattersWorking with the Engineering and Construction teams to progress technology selection, project design and engineeringManaging the effective transition of the project from the development phase to the construction phaseRepresent Repsol in the field and within project communities by:Engage with landowners and community stakeholders through one-on-one discussion and community/stakeholder meetingsEstablish and maintain positive relationships with community stakeholders in support of project developmentCreate and maintain project control tools such as project budgets, schedules, land status maps, and landowner databasesContribute to strategic pipeline growth by identifying new greenfield wind, solar, and energy storage project opportunities while supporting M&A due diligence as neededPerform regional market and competition analysis to support prospecting strategyCollaborate with Interconnection Team to submit and manage interconnection requests for projects and oversee progress through the interconnection queueWork with Energy Assessment Team to implement resource measurement campaignsSupport the Origination and Finance Teams in commercial marketing, financial analysis, and securing project financingEnsure all project documentation is organized and maintained to support financingPrepare periodic reports to management on project status or other requested informationManage project level expenditures and invoice processingOther duties as assignedGrowth OpportunitiesRepsol has a strong commitment to professional development and promoting from within.
