Contracts Manager

Our client, an established government contractor, is seeking an experienced remote  Contracts Manager to oversee a portfolio of federal and commercial contracts and subcontracts in a remote environment.

This position will have responsibility across the full contract lifecycle, from solicitation and proposal support through negotiation, administration, modifications, compliance, and closeout. The Contracts Manager will work closely with program leadership, finance, business development, security, customers, and subcontractors to ensure contractual requirements are understood, risks are addressed, and agreements are executed effectively.

The right person brings strong federal contracting experience, practical knowledge of FAR/DFARS, and the confidence to independently manage contractual matters and negotiations. Experience supporting DoD cybersecurity requirements, subcontract administration, and government contracting systems will be particularly valuable.

What You’ll Do

• Manage federal and commercial prime contracts and subcontracts throughout the contract lifecycle.
• Review RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, contract terms, and other solicitation documents and support proposal compliance.
• Interpret contractual requirements and advise internal teams on obligations, risks, and recommended actions.
• Draft, review, negotiate, and administer contracts, subcontracts, modifications, NDAs, teaming agreements, and related documents.
• Serve as a primary contractual point of contact for customers, subcontractors, program teams, and other stakeholders.
• Exercise delegated contracting authority, including reviewing, negotiating, and executing agreements within established company approval limits.
• Apply FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, and other applicable federal contracting requirements.
• Develop negotiation strategies in collaboration with program, finance, legal, and business leadership.
• Administer subcontractor agreements, modifications, communications, and contractual performance matters.
• Ensure required prime-contract clauses and flow-down provisions are appropriately incorporated into subcontracts.
• Monitor contract funding, deliverables, modifications, milestones, and other contractual requirements.
• Support compliance with CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, and applicable contractual cybersecurity requirements.
• Coordinate with security and program stakeholders to ensure cybersecurity clauses and compliance obligations are properly addressed.
• Support DCAA, DCMA, and other internal or external audit activities as required.
• Maintain organized and audit-ready contract documentation and records.
• Use SharePoint for contract documentation, document libraries, file organization, and version control.
• Support government and prime-contractor electronic systems used for invoicing, representations and certifications, modifications, and contract administration.
• Lead contract closeout activities and ensure contractual obligations and documentation are completed.
• Perform other contract-management responsibilities as required.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Contracts Management, or a related discipline.
• 5–8 years of contracts-management experience, including meaningful experience with U.S. federal government contracts.
• Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and federal contracting requirements.
• Experience managing both prime contracts and subcontracts.
• Previous delegated signature or execution authority for contracts and/or subcontracts.
• Experience reviewing solicitations and supporting federal proposal and pre-award activities.
• Working knowledge of CMMC and cybersecurity requirements applicable to DoD contracting.
• Strong contract negotiation, risk analysis, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to independently manage contractual issues while collaborating effectively with program, finance, security, business-development, and executive stakeholders.

Preferred Experience

• NCMA certification such as CPCM, CFCM, or CCCM.
• Recent experience supporting federal agencies or government contractors.
• Experience with government electronic invoicing platforms such as IPP, WAWF, or similar systems.
• Experience working within prime-contractor portals used for subcontractor registrations, certifications, invoicing, or modifications.
• Experience supporting DCAA or DCMA audits.
• Working knowledge of SharePoint, including document libraries, document management, and version control.
• Experience supporting CMMC, NIST SP 800-171, or similar cybersecurity compliance requirements.

Work Environment

This is a remote position with no routine travel required.
