Rehabilitation Specialist

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) services consist of day programs and supportive living programs. Clients in our day programs have access to group activities, individual support, and mental health services. Clients in the supportive living program receive support in maintaining independent living and have access to the day program. What to expect. This is a direct care opportunity to provide support for mental health treatment. You will provide a safe and therapeutic environment that encourages the overall independence and wellbeing of your clients. Responsibilities Act as a residential counselor by working one‑on‑one with clients to learn or regain skills for successful community and independent living and socialization. Ensure medication compliance, which involves responsibility for safety, dosage, and cleanliness. Work as part of a collaborative service team to develop and implement individual service plans. Provide transportation and attend clients’ medical appointments; offer advocacy throughout the appointment and ensure that all follow‑up instruction is documented and followed through on. Ensure overall sanitation and that Department of Health regulations are met and exceeded; ensure all CACFP documentation is completed accurately and timely. Assist in the daily food operations and as‑needed catering operations; help ensure that meals are attractive, nutritionally complete, appealing and delivered fresh and hot. Help ensure that food service documentation and licensing is accurate, complete and current; ensure compliance with all Department of Labor and State Laws, regulations, guidelines, and directives; participate in all required food service trainings. Monitor accurate portion control and inventory control; negotiate food purchases and delivery, and assist in general inventory control for food services. As you spend time with your clients, you will find yourself developing a rapport with them where you become part of their trusted support system. You will see their wins as your wins as they work their way through the program and cheer them on as they progress in their recovery. All direct care staff will be thoroughly trained to provide all services and should expect supportive and ever‑present mentorship from senior staff members as they perform the requested duties. Work requires current, valid ServSafe certification upon hire or within 60 days of hire. Ability to obtain additional certifications/training as may be required by certain programs (e.g., CPR/First Aid, Infection Control, Food Safety and Handling, Crisis Intervention/Suicidal Protocol). Direct knowledge of or willingness to learn and implement the CACFP program. High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred. Willingness to obtain additional certifications and trainings as required. Driver’s license with 3‑points or less and access to an insured vehicle. Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays depending on the need of the program. Pay rate for this position is $19.31 hourly.
