Associate Packaging Engineering Specialist (Level 2)

Associate Packaging Engineering Specialist (Level 2) Hazelwood, MO Responsibilities Under supervision, determines efficiencies and prepares improvements for implementation as part of cost‑effective worldwide distribution and storage by considering practical packaging and/or handling applications. Assists in providing logistics support analysis by applying established company policies and procedures in accordance with domestic and international laws. Assists in developing warehousing material flow, equipment layout, and capital budget to store assembly and support materials. Under supervision, maintains employee awareness for hazardous materials (dangerous goods) general familiarization, function specific, and safety requirements by providing walk‑through support to meet federal and international regulations. Assists in training and compliance for the implementation of HM‑232 (Hazardous Materials Security Plans) for the receiving, storing and shipping of hazardous materials. Under supervision, evaluates, classifies, and develops packaging instructions for hazardous materials. Assists in planning the markings, labeling, packaging, and documentation for shipments in compliance with Federal, State, and International regulations. Position is expected to be 100% onsite at Hazelwood, MO. Basic Qualifications 1+ years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications. 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams). 1+ years of experience using professional written and verbal communication skills to achieve deliverables. 1+ years of experience working with a CAD system (SolidWorks, NX Unigraphics, or Catia). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline. 1+ years of experience in dangerous goods, regulations, and assessments. 1+ years of experience with packaging engineering, preferably Military packaging. 1+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment. 1+ years of experience working independently and collaboratively. 1+ years of experience with creative critical thinking and troubleshooting skills. Security Clearance & Citizenship Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Security Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required. Travel Position may require up to 10% travel.
