Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to join a school district in the San Francisco area for the current school year. This is a contract opportunity supporting students with disabilities while working collaboratively with teachers, administrators, families, and related service providers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized instruction based on student IEPs

• Provide specialized instruction and accommodations to students with disabilities

• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation

• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and school administration

• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student goals and progress monitoring

• Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

• Communicate effectively with families and school staff

Qualifications

• Valid Mild/Mod or Mod/Severe Education Specialist teaching certification/licensure

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field

• Previous school-based experience preferred

• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
