Quality Control Inspector

Description JOB TITLE: Quality Control Inspector DEPARTMENT: Quality REPORTING TO: Quality Manager

PRIMARY FUNCTION OF POSITION:

Ensure all procedures, instructions, and forms are clearly defined, communicated, and effective. Generate quality performance data for internal operations/products and outgoing quality levels. Coordinate and report on corrective/preventive action activities and identify permanent root cause resolution.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

Study and interpret instructions. Listen to directions from supervisors. Read and interpret blueprints and sketches. Interpret measurements. Ability to use a variety of inspection tools. Verify specifications. Ensure the working environment is clean and safe. Complete quality control forms. Convey information pertaining to observed quality trends and issues. Ability to inspect parts for cosmetic issues. Ensure all parts are fitted and screwed in properly.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

High school diploma or general education degree. Two years of related experience and/or training. Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings. Must possess good attention to detail. Ability to use typical equipment, such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, dial indicators, oscilloscopes, component testers, and the like.

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Must be proficient in working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Office Suite products.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work plant to another. The selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check and education verification as outlined by Libra. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection); using measurement devices; and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
