Maintenance Technician - Regional Operations Specialist

Position Overview Regional Operations Specialist - Maintenance Technician, based in the DC Metro area. The specialist will assist in the maintenance operational success throughout the KETTLER portfolio and will require local and multi-state travel. Responsibilities include adapting quickly, assessing needs, demonstrating excellent customer service, and maintaining community curb appeal, preventative maintenance, resident and common area service requests, and physical site operations. Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00/hour. Respond to resident requests for maintenance and service within HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair, troubleshooting and taking appropriate action to repair and restore service within quality and time standards; escalates problems to supervisor or outside contractor as necessary. Participate in all maintenance projects. Prepare vacant units for market-ready status through turnover repairs and improvements. Perform preventive maintenance repair on all systems at the property. Perform general repair of property grounds, apartments, and building exteriors. Demonstrate customer service skills by treating residents and others with respect, answering resident questions, responding sensitively to complaints, and completing assigned work orders efficiently and urgently. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications EPA/CFC Type I & II certifications preferred – must obtain within 90 days from hire date. 1 year of apartment, hotel, or facilities maintenance experience with intermediate knowledge of HVAC, appliance, electrical, and plumbing repair. Valid Driver’s License and must be able to commute to scheduled property within the DMV region as assigned. Outstanding customer service and focus on providing residents with timely and accurate responses. Flexibility to undertake regional travel outside the market when required. Must have personal/reliable transportation to respond to on-call emergencies as they occur. Must carry a cell phone as required for on-call maintenance. Ability to use a computer. Good English communication skills, both verbal and written. Physical ability to walk the grounds and apartments, ascend stairs around the property, lift 60 lbs., climb ladders over 10 feet, and perform other general physical activities. #J-18808-Ljbffr Kettler Inc.
