Job Description
ICU Registered Nurse (RN) We are seeking a dedicated and skilled ICU Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool. This position involves providing high-quality care in various settings, including ICU, MS, Telemetry, PCU, and overflow units. The ideal candidate must be flexible and ready to face the challenges of a dynamic environment. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
- Float to other units as required, including inpatient and overflow areas.
- Administer medications and treatments as per physician's orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Participate in patient care planning and evaluation.
- Conduct regular assessments and document patient progress.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families.
- Assist in emergency situations as needed.
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU nursing experience required.
- Current California RN License.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIH Stroke Scale.
- Experience in a 400-bed or larger facility is preferred.
- Required experience with PA line and Swan Ganz catheter.
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply with the necessary experience.
- Must pass an EKG exam administered on the first day of orientation.
- Day shift: 4x12-hour schedule (07:00 - 19:30).
- Weekend shifts are required.
- This is a floating position; no scheduling requests can be accommodated.
- No time off requests for the first two weeks of the assignment will be accepted.
- This role requires floating between various healthcare units.
- An active California RN license must be held at the time of submission.
