Accounts Payable Specialist

Location: Tulare, CA Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Experience Required: Minimum 1 year

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Tulare, CA. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of accounts payable experience and be responsible for ensuring invoices are processed accurately and vendors are paid on time. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced office environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently.
• Review invoices for accuracy and proper approval before payment.
• Match invoices with purchase orders and receiving documents.
• Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain organized accounts payable files and documentation.
• Respond professionally to vendor inquiries regarding payments.
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to improve AP processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of Accounts Payable experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong data entry and 10-key skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Compensation & Schedule

• Pay: $23.00–$25.00 per hour (DOE)
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
