Our Defense Systems wants you to join our Team as a SCA Aircraft Worker and support a maintenance program with Northrop Grumman in The Navy E-6 is an airborne command post and communications relay based on the Boeing 707 platform The aircraft are utilized primarily for long-range patrols along the entire U.S. border, and in source and transit zone countries. This platform, now modified to the E-6B standard, conveys instructions from the National Command Authority to fleet ballistic missile submarines, a mission known as TACAMO ("Take Charge And Move Out").

• Makes repairs to aircraft following orders of higher grade worker
• Assists in troubleshooting malfunctions in aircraft structure, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, pneudraulic, engines, auxiliary power unit, and ventilation and heating systems
• Removes, cleans, reinstalls, or replaces defective parts, accessories, and components such as worn gaskets, couplings, and fittings, bad actuators, accumulators, gauges, sections of corroded fuel and oil lines
• Supervises the jacking and towing of aircraft
• Makes adjustments and settings such as cable tension and seat movement settings and adjustments
• Obtains standard parts such as fuel and oil line connections and fittings, cable linkage, and spark plug cables and harnesses by referring to parts manuals and by making comparisons with samples
• Performs pre-flight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections
• Enters in the maintenance records description of the work performed

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and a minimum 1 year relevant experience OR 1 yr of additional education/technical school, such as an A&P course
• Able to perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours
• Able to change physical locations based upon need (including physical ability to travel)
• Ability to be subject to a variety of physical conditions
• Able to wear respirator or other safety gear
• Ability to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or closed spaces
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance

• A&P License
• Prior E-6B/707 aircraft experience
• Currently enrolled in A&P Program or recently completed an A&P Program

Primary Level Salary Range: $28.39 - $28.39 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
