Payroll Operations Manager

We’re looking for someone who can lead a high-performing payroll function, improve processes, and bring structure to a fast-moving organization with more than 2,000 employees nationwide.This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-volume environment, understands the importance of precision, and knows how to lead a team through growth and change.OverviewAs the Payroll Manager, you will oversee biweekly payroll operations across a rapidly growing multi-state organization using Workday. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, maintaining compliance with payroll regulations, supporting payroll team development, and continuously improving payroll operations and reporting.You will serve as the subject matter expert for payroll and play a key role in supporting employees, leadership, and Human Resources through scalable payroll practices and strong operational executionCompensation:Essential Functions:Lead and oversee full-cycle biweekly payroll processing for 2,000+ employees across multiple statesManage payroll operations within Workday, including earnings, deductions, commissions, bonuses, garnishments, PTO, and tax withholdingsEnsure payroll is processed accurately and on schedule while maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsReview and audit payroll data, reports, and payroll runs to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracyPartner closely with HR, Accounting, and leadership teams to improve payroll workflows and operational efficiencyMaintain payroll records, reporting, and documentation in accordance with company standards and compliance requirementsMonitor changes in payroll laws and regulations and implement process updates as neededSupport, train, and develop payroll team members while helping elevate overall team performanceCreate and maintain payroll reporting and audit processes to improve visibility and accountabilityAssist with payroll-related inquiries, escalations, and issue resolutionAdapt quickly in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities can shift rapidlyQualifications:5+ years of payroll experience, including high-volume payroll environmentsExperience managing or overseeing payroll operations for large multi-state organizationsStrong experience with Workday payroll processing strongly preferredLeadership experience preferredStrong understanding of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, taxes, garnishments, and compliance practicesAdvanced attention to detail with strong organizational and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage deadlines and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environmentStrong communication and interpersonal skillsHigh level of professionalism, accountability, and confidentialityBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferredBenefits:Employees and their families are eligible to enroll in:Medical, Dental, and VisionHealth Savings Account (HSA)Company Sponsored Life InsuranceSupplemental Life InsuranceLong-term and short-term disabilityAccident protectionEmployee assistance program - access to counseling services and other tools to improve work/family/life balancePet Insurance for your furry family member401k planAdditional Insurance Programs including:UHC RewardsRally HealthOne Pass Select (gym membership subscription)Additional Perks:VPTO (Volunteer paid time off) year-round incentives to give back to your local communityPersonal/Professional Development - we provide books, courses, and opportunities to attend leadership conferencesRelocation opportunities to other branches across the nationEach DaBella Employee receives:80 hours of Paid Time Off annually with incremental increases6 paid holidays during a calendar year effective day one of employment#INDCORPORATEWork Location: In person #J-18808-Ljbffr
