Role Description This full-time Mortgage Loan Officer role is a hybrid position based in St Paul, MN, with flexibility for some work-from-home arrangements. The Mortgage Loan Officer will originate residential mortgage loans, guide clients through the loan process, and provide clear explanations of available products and terms. Day-to-day responsibilities include building and managing a pipeline of prospective borrowers, collecting and reviewing financial documentation, and coordinating with underwriting, processing, and closing teams to ensure timely decisions. The role also includes maintaining strong customer relationships, responding to client inquiries, and delivering a high standard of customer service. The individual will collaborate with local real estate and referral partners, follow all regulatory and compliance requirements, and contribute to branch and company performance goals. Qualifications Demonstrated experience working as a Loan Officer, with responsibility for originating and managing mortgage loans. Knowledge of the Mortgage Industry and Mortgage Lending practices, including common loan products and regulatory requirements. Understanding of Underwriting concepts and documentation standards to effectively prepare and submit complete loan files. Strong Customer Service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly, build trust, and support clients throughout the loan process. Relevant state licensing as a Mortgage Loan Officer (including NMLS registration) or the ability to obtain required licenses. Proficiency with loan origination systems and basic financial analysis, including credit reports, income, and asset evaluation. Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple files and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proven ability to develop business through referral networks, community involvement, and relationship-building with real estate professionals. High ethical standards and commitment to fair lending, compliance, and non-discriminatory practices.
