We mobilize robust Care-Sharing Networks and lead with Courage, Humility, and Excellence.We do this through the local Church and in collaboration with child-serving organizations, businesses, and people who care—that’s where you come in.Position SummaryThe Church Engagement Specialist is responsible for managing a portfolio of churches to ensure they remain active, supported, and growing in their response to children and families in crisis.This role serves as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned churches, providing ongoing support, guidance, and communication to increase engagement and retention. While Network Development builds relationships in person and drives growth, this role focuses on sustaining and strengthening engagement over time, primarily through virtual communication.Success in this role is defined by increased participation, responsiveness, and meaningful connection within the assigned portfolio. Network health metrics, scorecards and KPIs will be utilized to help gauge performance, however, success in this role will be measured across all of the responsibilities listed below.Your Responsibilities Include:Portfolio ManagementManage a defined portfolio of churches, providing consistent communication and supportMonitor activity and proactively engage churches to increase participationReinforce behaviors that lead to sustained engagement and requests metChurch SupportMaintain strong, trust-based relationships through ongoing communicationServe as the primary point of contact for questions, guidance, and supportResolve most customer issues directly in a timely and effective mannerCoordinate with Platform Support for more technical issues when neededIncreased Engagement RateMonitor engagement metrics and identify opportunities to increase usageSupport churches in setting goals and improving response activityEncourage and track meaningful connection storiesProcess Consistency & ImprovementFollow established engagement processes and standardsProvide feedback to improve engagement tools and playbooks contentSupport efforts to increase efficiency and scalability in engagementCoordination & AlignmentReceive new churches from Onboarding for engagement supportMaintain awareness of Network Development activity within assigned marketsEnsure accurate tracking of communication and activity in CRMSupport ecosystem balance through participation in Network Leader facilitated strategy meetings to identify, discuss and solve issues and opportunities.Request Monitoring & Response ActivationSupport churches through response team development and church leader buy-in to achieve sustainable network impactMonitor unmet requests within assigned portfolio and take proactive action to increase responses by engaging churches to encourage timely responsesCollaborate with other Engagement Specialists to support shared outcomes across marketsWhat You Bring to the Organization:Experience & SkillsComfortable engaging and supporting diverse faith communities and denominationsStrong communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead virtual training sessionsAbility to guide customers through structured processes with clarity and confidenceHigh attention to detail and strong follow-throughComfort with virtual training environments and technology platformsAbility to balance efficiency with a positive, supportive customer experienceExperience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and virtual meeting tools preferredAbility to follow defined processes while identifying opportunities for improvementPassion for CarePortal’s mission and commitment to Courage, Humility, and ExcellenceThe above description is not intended to be comprehensive, but rather a focused list of priorities.
