About the Role:

The Vendor Engagement Specialist plays a critical role in managing and enhancing relationships with our network of vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and optimal service delivery. This position is responsible for driving vendor performance, negotiating contracts, and resolving any issues that may arise to maintain high standards of quality and efficiency. The specialist will work closely with internal teams to align vendor capabilities with organizational needs, ensuring that procurement and supply chain objectives are met. By continuously monitoring market trends and vendor innovations, the role contributes to strategic sourcing decisions that support business growth. Ultimately, the Vendor Engagement Specialist ensures that vendor partnerships are productive, compliant, and mutually beneficial, fostering long-term success for both parties.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or supplier relationship roles.
• Strong understanding of contract negotiation and vendor performance evaluation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and vendor management software.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Supply Chain Management or Procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS).
• Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-vendor environment.
• Familiarity with compliance standards and regulatory requirements related to vendor management.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze market trends and apply insights to vendor strategy.
• Advanced skills in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential vendors to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service level agreements to secure favorable conditions for the organization.
• Monitor vendor performance through regular evaluations and audits, addressing any issues promptly to ensure compliance with agreed standards.
• Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations teams to align vendor services with organizational requirements and project timelines.
• Conduct market research to identify new vendor opportunities and innovations that can enhance service delivery and cost efficiency.
• Manage vendor onboarding processes, including documentation, compliance checks, and training coordination.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on vendor performance, risks, and opportunities for senior management review.
