Purchasing Specialist

Our client, a leading organization in the manufacturing industry, is seeking a Purchasing Specialist to join their team. As a Purchasing Specialist, you will be part of the procurement department supporting cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and proactive communication, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Purchasing Specialist Pay Range: $22.00 Shift: Monday - Friday 8am -5pm What's the Job? Develop and execute purchasing plans for materials, equipment, and services within assigned categories. Source, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price competitiveness, delivery reliability, and service performance. Conduct price inquiries, request quotations, and negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers to optimize cost efficiency. Review purchase requisitions, prepare purchase orders, and ensure timely submission and approval in ERP or procurement systems. Track order status, follow up on delivery schedules, and coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to ensure timely receipt of goods. What's Needed? Experience in procurement or supply chain management. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to analyze market trends and provide cost‑saving recommendations. Proficiency with ERP or procurement systems. Knowledge of import tariffs, trade policies, and customs procedures. What's in it for me?
