Work Environment

This position is based onsite within our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility in Harrisonburg, Virginia. You will be working in a collaborative environment alongside a multi-disciplinary team, including physicians, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and nursing staff. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients to determine their physical therapy needs and establish appropriate goals and treatment plans based on physician referrals.
• Implement treatment plans utilizing therapeutic modalities, exercises, and manual techniques tailored to each individual's specific needs and progress.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date records of patient sessions, documenting evaluations, treatment progress, discharge summaries, and any changes in the plan of care.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapist Assistants and support personnel to enhance patient care and ensure the delivery of effective rehabilitation services.
• Interact regularly with other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and integrate feedback into the treatment plans for improved patient outcomes.
• Maintain awareness of the latest research and best practices in physical therapy to continually enhance the quality of care provided.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and share relevant insights that lead to innovative therapy solutions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our rehabilitation facility serves a diverse patient population, including individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic conditions that affect mobility and daily functioning. Your interactions will span across various demographics, tailoring your therapeutic interventions to meet the unique needs of each patient, considering their age, health status, and personal rehabilitation goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey information to patients, families, and colleagues.
• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems for documentation and reporting.
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency in word processing and data entry.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of two years of experience in a clinical physical therapy setting is required, candidates with additional experience in specialty areas such as orthopedics, geriatrics, or neurological rehabilitation will be highly valued. Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams will also be beneficial.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
