As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, manage visitor access, and conduct routine patrols to help deter incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming, security‑related environment. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon10:00 PM - 06:00 AMSun10:00 PM - 06:00 AM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate. Monitor entry and exit points at a logistics and distribution location, verify credentials and authorization, and maintain visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records. Control access to restricted areas, coordinate with site contacts regarding authorized deliveries and pickups, and report unauthorized access attempts or unusual activity. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established post orders and escalation procedures. Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity. Minimum Requirements: Customer service experience is preferred. A guard card or license is preferred. Loss prevention experience is preferred. X‑ray screening experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
