Senior Business Analyst / Software Tester
Client seeks a Senior Business Analyst / Software Tester to support a statewide IT project for the Client Dept. This hybrid role combines business analysis and QA/testing responsibilities in an Agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Create process workflows, user stories, BRDs, use cases, and gap analysis
- Develop BA artifacts (process flows, data dictionaries, context diagrams, etc.)
- Collaborate with stakeholders and development teams
- Support system implementation and go-live activities
- Execute manual and automated test cases
- Perform data migration, backend, API, and integration testing
- Write SQL queries to validate data integrity
- Log and track defects (Jira/ADO/QC)
- Support regression, integration, and UAT testing
Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years Business Analysis experience
- 3+ years QA/testing experience (manual & automated)
- Strong SQL and relational database knowledge
- SDLC & Agile (Scrum/Kanban) experience
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Proficiency in MS Office & Project
Preferred:
- State government experience
- Public Health/Healthcare domain experience
- Experience with testing tools (UFT, Selenium, Tosca, NeoLoad)
- Ideal for a senior BA with strong testing expertise in public sector or healthcare IT projects.
