Job Summary:
Seeking a Mechanical Designer with 5 10 years of CAD design experience to develop machines, fixtures, tooling, and mechanical assemblies using SolidWorks, ICAD, or similar CAD software. The role covers projects from concept and design through assembly, testing, installation, and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify 3D CAD models and mechanical assemblies.
- Create accurate 2D manufacturing drawings using GD&T.
- Interpret customer specifications and ensure designs meet quality and safety requirements.
- Select mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic components.
- Apply FMEA principles to designs and prototypes.
- Prepare drawing packages and manufacturing documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues.
Qualifications:
- 5 10 years of mechanical CAD design experience.
- Strong SolidWorks, ICAD, or similar 3D CAD skills.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and mechanical assemblies.
- Familiarity with pneumatic/hydraulic systems, FMEA, and GD&T.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering/Design preferred.
