Experienced Maintenance Technician

Job Summary Madison Property Management, a local family-owned, full-service property management company, is hiring a Maintenance Technician III. This full-time, hourly, in-person position works Monday-Friday 8:00 am – 4:30 pm and reports to the Maintenance Supervisor. The role is responsible for keeping MPM-managed properties up to applicable standards. Responsibilities / Duties Diagnose problems and perform repairs in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and appliance repair areas. Repair or replace defective equipment, components, or wiring. Provide repair cost estimates and recommend if appliance repair or replacement is warranted. Read, interpret, and apply information from files, drawings, catalogs, reports, and manuals. Complete work order reports and manage inventory appropriately. Interact professionally with residents, office staff, and vendors as needed. Communicate with the Property Management team to keep residents and owners informed of maintenance projects. Contribute to a positive team environment. Develop an understanding of the MPM portfolio, inventory, and SOPs. Participate in the on-call rotation schedule. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements Experience in HVAC, electrical, plumbing or appliance repair. Must bring own tools. Proficiency with computers and smartphones is necessary. Detail-oriented, organized, multi-tasking, and good problem-solving skills. Willingness to learn and be flexible. Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills. Driver’s license and insured personal vehicle for daily use (MPM pays mileage). Live within 30 miles of downtown Madison, WI. Overtime is mandatory during August-September campus turnover, including weekend work; may need overtime in other months. Benefits & Compensation Annual review and performance feedback process.
