Position Summary Olson Superior Holdings is hiring its first Director of People & Administration — a foundational leadership role owning HR, office management, IT vendor coordination, and administrative operations across our growing portfolio of home-services companies. You'll report to the CFO, partner closely with our CEO and operating-company leaders, and build the people and admin infrastructure for a multi-entity company built for continued, acquisition-driven growth. This is a seat where you'll define how the function works — not just execute an existing playbook. What You'll Own Own full-cycle HR for our ~65-person, multi-entity team: recruiting, onboarding, performance management, and offboarding Lead payroll oversight in partnership with our outside payroll providers and accounting team Manage benefits administration, open enrollment, and broker relationships Maintain compliance with California labor law, I-9/E-Verify, and DOL/EEOC requirements Own the employee handbook, policy stewardship, and employee relations Drive compensation benchmarking, merit cycles, and training and development Office Management & Facilities Manage and develop an Office Coordinator who runs day-to-day administrative work Own facilities outcomes and vendor relationships across our sites Set the standard for culture programs and company events Serve as the primary point of contact for our outsourced IT provider Own the IT budget, license inventory, and new system rollouts Partner on cybersecurity policy and business continuity planning Coordinate system access provisioning and deprovisioning through HR workflows Compliance & Process Improvement Support annual audits (workers' comp, state filings) alongside our accounting team Maintain labor law compliance postings and cyber insurance requirements Continuously document and improve HR and office processes What You'll Bring 5+ years of progressive HR generalist experience, including 2+ years at a manager or director level Experience supporting multiple sites or entities SHRM-CP or PHR certification, or equivalent experience Strong working knowledge of California employment law Experience administering benefits programs and managing broker relationships Experience with HRIS and payroll systems Comfort managing operational staff and administrative coverage across multiple sites Nice to Have Experience in trades, field services, or another field-workforce industry Direct experience with ADP TotalSource and Gusto M&A integration experience, including onboarding employees from acquired companies About Olson Superior Holdings Olson Superior Holdings is building a portfolio of residential and commercial services businesses, based in Lake Forest, CA.
