Field Service Installation Process Specialist

The FS Installation Process Specialist will be working on a variety of challenging technical assignments such as constructing, repairing, testing, troubleshooting, maintaining and installing equipment, RF products and electro-mechanical devices, components, and systems. You will need to assist others in training them in how to properly install equipment and where needed design fixtures and processes to install said equipment. Up to 75% travel will be required with extended stays. Responsibilities Design and create processes to assist in the installation of systems Design fixtures, tools and other items to aid in the installation of systems Develop and implement process improvements and cost reductions Specify processing and generate work instructions Assist in building and assuring the proper tools, parts and hardware are ready to ship to site for installation Perform difficult electronic, mechanical and technical assignments such as constructing, repairing, troubleshooting, calibrating, adjusting, testing & maintaining electronic and mechanical equipment, microwave products, electro-mechanical components, devices and systems Work from schematics, engineering drawings, wire lists, written or verbal instructions Recommend changes or modifications to improve the operation or the quality of electronic or mechanical products and equipment Determines methods, operations and sequences in setting procedures for constructing, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, processing, and modifying electronic and mechanical products and equipment as required Train installation team on process controls and collaborate with Quality to meet specification Uphold the company’s core values of Integrity, Innovation, Accountability, and Teamwork Demonstrate behavior consistent with the company’s Code of Ethics and Conduct It is the responsibility of every employee to report to their manager or a member of senior management any quality problems or defects in order for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence of the problem Duties may be modified or assigned at any time to meet the needs of the business Qualifications 5 years related experience Active or recently active DoD issued Secret Clearance Advanced skills in large scale assemblies and systems Basic computer skills Must be proficient writing and speaking English Strong problem-solving and communication skills Ability to read technical drawing and specifications Desired Skills AutoCAD Proficiency Associates degree in related technology Performance Expectations Safety, Quality, Accuracy, Timeliness, Reliability and Thoroughness of work performed; gains the trust and respect of the supervisor, co-workers and other employees; develops good working relationships with the supervisor, co-workers and other employees. Working Conditions This position works in a production and customer site environment with the risk of injury. Some safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment. Bending, lifting and pushing up to 70 pounds is required. TRAVEL UP to 75% Role will require a pre-employment background screening including a credit and DMV check Life at OSI Pay may range from $45.96 to $47.62 hourly The pay range above represents annual base salary only. Final compensation will be determined based on factors such as your job level, geographic location, date of hire, experience, job-related knowledge and skills, and education in conjunction with market and business considerations. Base salary is one component of your total rewards package.
