Maintenance MechanicThe Maintenance Mechanic Level II is a journey level role responsible for supporting reliable plant operations by performing advanced troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair activities across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems. Technicians at this level work more independently than Level I staff, handling a broader range of duties and moderately complex tasks with minimal supervision. This position helps maintain equipment performance, applies safety and food quality standards, uses CMMS systems to track work, and contributes to continuous improvement in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.Responsibilities:Performing a wide range of duties including diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems issues.Conducting moderately complex preventive and predictive maintenance using some external measuring tools.Troubleshooting and resolving equipment breakdowns efficiently to minimize production downtime.Using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to record activities and manage work orders.Occasionally providing technical guidance or instruction to less experienced staff.Skills/Qualifications:3 to 5 years of maintenance mechanic experience requiredHigh school diploma or equivalentStrong communication skillsBilingual preferred English and SpanishSolid teamwork skillsAbility to read and write in EnglishProficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshootingModerate knowledge of safety regulationsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and schematicsBasic knowledge of PLC Programmable Logic Controller systems preferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to work within timelines and under pressure based on production needsAvailability to work scheduled hours, including weekends as requiredAbility to stand, bend, and climb stairs for extended periods (10–12 hours per day as needed)Ability to work in a refrigerated environment (32–36 °F)Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds multiple times throughout the dayWhy Join Us?Play a key role in the launch of a next-generation facilityWork with a collaborative and innovation-driven teamHelp deliver high-quality, safe, and delicious food products to consumersContribute to the future of food manufacturing through automation and sustainability$33.00–$40.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus the $1.50 shift differential.10:30 pm to 6:00 amPermanent plus benefitsEast Chicago, IN 46312
