Estimator - Mixed Commercial Construction

Job Description
Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for retail and mixed commercial construction projects. Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop comprehensive project budgets. Perform quantity take-offs and pricing analysis. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids. Identify project risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions. Collaborate with operations, project management, and preconstruction teams throughout the bidding process. Support project handover activities and maintain estimating records. Stay informed on market conditions, labor trends, and material pricing.
The Successful Applicant
5+ years of estimating experience within commercial construction. Strong experience estimating ground-up commercial projects is essential. Experience with retail construction, mixed-use developments, and interior fit-outs/renovations. Ability to perform detailed quantity take-offs and cost analysis. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and subcontractor scopes. Proficiency with industry-standard estimating software. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple estimates simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
