Information Technology Support Assistant

Support Center Analyst/IT Support Assistant Pay range: $40 - $43/hr on W2. 100% on campus. Duration: 07/20/2026 to 09/21/2026 Summary The IT Support Associate provides technical support to HMS community members and affiliates as part of the Service Desk team. Responsibilities include researching and answering IT questions, troubleshooting problems, providing first‑contact resolution, and escalating when necessary. The role requires exercising judgment and creativity to apply procedures correctly and maintain professionalism while delivering timely support via remote tools, telephone, email, ticketing system, and in-person visits. Responsibilities Provide technical support for computers, accounts, device lifecycle, IT security, software licensing, phones, networking, mobile devices, and printers. Respond to in‑person requests including device lending, shared device and printer support, and classroom/audiovisual emergency response. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve issues; implement corrective actions or escalation to higher technical resources. Serve as a customer liaison, communicating and resolving problems and concerns. Setup and submit production jobs; edit and debug computer output. Develop, test, and maintain user documentation and web content using front‑end tools. Assist with complex technical projects and produce moderately complex reports. Collaborate with related IT support groups and provide cross‑functional assistance. Perform additional duties as assigned and support scheduling and training of coworking staff. Basic Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent with data processing or computer operations training, or experience in a multi‑operation system or production control environment. Three to five years of related customer‑service experience in a technological environment. Experience troubleshooting Mac and Windows; email and desktop application support. Knowledge of hardware, software, programming languages, and operating systems; basic knowledge of network protocols. Strong written and verbal communication skills and a service‑mindset team‑player.
