Workforce Development Program Coordinator

Overview Lead the Program. Empower the Workforce! Ready to make a lasting impact? LLCC is searching for a Workforce Development Program Coordinator who will play a key role in shaping construction career pathways while supporting a diverse student population. You will be responsible for the development and management of grant‑funded Highway Construction Careers Training Program. Starting salary is likely to be between $61,455 and $72,300 per year, with an excellent benefits package. Responsibilities Act as liaison with union partners, college departments, community agencies, adult education programs, businesses, and other stakeholders. Program development, management, and assessment. Community outreach and development – promoting collaborations with community agencies for referral and support services. Fiscal accountability – ordering supplies and equipment, tracking contractual payments and student stipends. Hiring and oversight of contractual employees. Scheduling all program activities. Work with the Public Relations and Marketing department to prepare marketing materials and advertising messages. Student case management – student selection to program, available resources to meet any student barriers, tracking success during and following program. Student counseling for those students who do not qualify. Clerical duties and front‑office duties – responsible for calls pertaining to the program and all data entry for students in the program. Seek additional opportunities and apply for grant funding to expand the program. May include other industries in addition to construction, as determined by funding. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or strong, relevant experience or Journeyman card. Skilled at working with a diverse group of students. Ability to work with students to provide case management and educational counseling. Program administration including staff oversight and management. Scheduling experience and excellent organizational skills. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a criminal background check. Benefits Employees receive pay for 23 paid holidays per year, 12 Fridays off in the summer, 5 personal days, 12 sick days, and 15 vacation days per year. LLCC staff and their eligible spouses and dependents can use the tuition waiver on credited courses. Free access to the on‑campus fitness center is also available.
