Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Watch in Virginia Beach, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeTue02:00 PM - 10:00 PMWed02:00 PM - 10:00 PMFri02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSat02:00 PM - 10:00 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a technology‑focused location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate site protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, offices, parking areas, and/or perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor access points, verify credentials as required by site policies, and assist with visitor processing and/or directional support while maintaining professional communication. Support Allied Universal and site leadership with routine reporting, incident notifications, and/or follow‑up on security‑related concerns as conditions and business needs change at the location. Minimum Requirements: Access control and badge experience is preferred. CPR certification is preferred. A guard card and/or license is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
