As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Incident Investigation Patrol in Melville, NY , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you. Pay Rate: $35.15 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeThur07:00 AM - 03:00 PM How This Role Works: Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment. Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed. Responsibilities: Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols. Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouse spaces, loading docks, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter. Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity to appropriate personnel. Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements. Minimum Requirements: Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent. Have 4+ years of military or law enforcement experience or a criminal justice degree. Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License. A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred. A Guard Card or license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
