FAMILY ADVOCATE
ECONOMIC IMPROVEMENT COUNCIL INC
The Family Advocate is a key liaison between families and the Head Start program, providing essential support and resources to promote family well-being and child development. This role involves conducting home visits, completing assessments and family partnership agreements, and connecting families with needed services. The Family Advocate also supports program activities, assists in maintaining enrollment, encourages parent engagement, facilitates trainings and meetings, and promotes community involvement. Additionally, they play a vital role in emergency support, goal-setting, and advocacy for families.DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:Strong ability to work effectively with diverse families and understand their needs.Knowledge of community resources and ability to establish professional relationships with service agencies.Excellent organizational and communication skills.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Bachelor's degree in Social Services or a related field is preferred.Certification in working with families or at least one year of experience in a similar role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
