Role Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Engineer with 8+ years of software engineering experience and strong expertise in Java, AWS and Python to support FINRA's AI Finance Readiness initiative .

This role focuses on improving finance and administrative processes through AI use-case discovery, proof-of-concepts and targeted implementations. The engineer will collaborate with business stakeholders, architects and technical teams to evaluate opportunities across Workday Financials, FlexTrack and other finance platforms .

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate finance and administrative workflows to identify opportunities for AI-enabled improvements.

• Conduct discovery sessions with stakeholders to understand business needs and assess technical feasibility.

• Develop proof-of-concepts and support pilot initiatives that may progress to production.

• Assess whether AI capabilities or alternative workflow improvements provide the greatest business value.

• Develop and integrate solutions using Java, AWS and Python.

• Explore tools such as Claude, Amazon Bedrock and other LLM-based platforms.

• Collaborate with architects and engineering teams on solution design and implementation.

• Explain architectural choices, technical tradeoffs, risks and implementation approaches.

• Apply sound engineering judgment when reviewing and integrating AI-generated code.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Java, AWS and Python .

• Exposure to modern AI technologies and LLM-based solutions.

• Demonstrated interest in learning and evaluating emerging AI capabilities.

• Ability to translate business problems into practical technical solutions.

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

• Ability to evaluate AI use cases and explain their feasibility, benefits and limitations.

• Solid understanding of application architecture and implementation details.

Preferred Qualifications

• SaaS integration experience.

• Exposure to Workday Financials or other enterprise finance systems.

• Experience with FlexTrack.

• Analytics platform integration experience.

• Background in RPA, workflow automation or intelligent automation.

Role Focus

This is an applied software engineering position focused on using existing AI technologies to improve business processes. AI research and foundational model development experience are not required.
