Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Mill Machinist to join our team on the second shift from 2:30 pm to 1 am, Monday through Thursday. This role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines, interpreting technical drawings, and ensuring precision in machining processes.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and maintain CNC machines for various machining processes.

• Interpret technical drawings and CAD models to determine machining requirements.

• Utilize precision measuring instruments, such as calipers and micrometers, to ensure accuracy of machined parts.

• Set up and operate Bridgeport type mills.

• Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any operational issues.

• Cut, shape, and form metal parts using manual drill press, lathes, power saws, snips, files, sand blasters, surface grinders, and mallets.

• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.

• Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.

• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of experience in machining.

• Proficiency in setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery.

• Ability to use precision hand tools such as calipers and micrometers.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Bridgeport, Mastercam, Haas, and manual machining.

• Comfortable with training on first shift for 6 months to 1 year.

Work Environment

The position requires working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moving equipment and mechanical parts. Physical requirements include standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close focus, distance vision, and color perception.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $72800.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
