Primary responsibilities will include materials testing, production, formulation, and testing of asphalt emulsions, and the evaluation of asphalt mixtures. We are looking for a high-energy individual with the qualifications listed below.**How you will impact Ingevity:*** Collaborate with a dynamic team to conduct evaluations, maximize results, and develop innovative solutions to meet our customers’ needs.* Ensure that testing is completed according to industry and internal standards.* Provide technical assistance from concept to customer acceptance.* Optimize emulsion and mixture formulations.* Utilize technical knowledge to assist with the development of new products.* Apply scientific knowledge to accurately interpret data, which will influence product development and technical solutions from concept to customer acceptance.* Effectively communicate results to meet the needs of our customers.* Support industry initiatives.**What you need to succeed:*** Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or other science-related discipline is preferred.* At least 5 years of laboratory experience required, industry experience is preferred.* Able to work independently and collaboratively.* Occasional travel, less than 10%, to industry events and customer job sites* Intuitive problem-solving skills* High level of attention to detail and organizational ability* Excellent oral and written communication skills* Strength to safely handle 50 lb. buckets of materials* Team player mentality and the flexibility to adapt to ever-changing priorities* Proficiency in Microsoft OfficeIngevity is a company made up of extraordinary people of every race, religion and background, all worthy of the same dignity.
