Infection Control/Wound Care Nurse RN

 

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled RN   Infection Control Nurse/Wound Care Nurse to join our dedicated team at Civita Care Center at Long Ridge, the area's leading provider of sub-acute rehabilitation.

As an Infection Preventionist/Wound Care Nurse, you will play a critical role in managing, controlling and preventing infections; promote healing, and improve patient outcomes through expert clinical care and education. Our physician-driven programs are designed to address the individual needs of each resident, ensuring maximum recovery potential.

 

Responsibilities:

· Monitor and support infection prevention practices

· Assess, treat, and document wound care plans

· Educate staff, patients, and families on infection control protocols

· Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams

· Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety standards

Qualifications:

· Active nursing license with the ability to practice in Connecticut

· Strong clinical assessment and communication skills

· Infection Control and/or Wound care experience preferred is a plus

· Strong attention to detail with a focus on patient safety and quality care
