Job Purpose The Staff Product Quality Engineer guides the completion of major programs and serves as a technical leader in driving quality strategy and regulatory compliance. This role is critical in building scalable, quality‑focused processes from prototyping through full‑scale production, influencing stakeholders across R&D, Operations, and external customers. Key Responsibilities Lead cross‑functional quality initiatives, determining the methods and procedures for new assignments and major program launches. Partner with R&D and NPI teams to integrate quality‑by‑design, ensuring products are manufacturable at scale with minimal defects. Serve as a lead subject matter expert in metrology, metallurgical testing, and advanced process validation (Master Validation Plans). Drive the quality strategy for advanced manufacturing processes, including the validation of specialized equipment and materials. Represent the quality function in high‑level MRB discussions and lead escalated product complaint investigations. Coach, review, and delegate work to lower‑level professionals, acting as a mentor and technical lead for the quality engineering team. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field. 6+ years of quality engineering experience, ideally in advanced manufacturing. Strong knowledge of regulatory standards (FDA QSR, ISO 13485, and/or AS9100). Expertise in leading complex validation projects and driving cross‑functional stakeholder buy‑in. Preferred: experience with metal additive manufacturing; experience interfacing with high‑tier customers and suppliers. VulcanForms offers a competitive salary and equity package. Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
