The Accounting Technician reviews and processes various accounting documents including customer and vendor transactions for all organizations within the Business Services Division Accounting Office. Responsible for the accuracy of accounting information and of the processing of financial documents, the employee organizes accounting transactions, maintains and reconciles accounts, closes accounts and prepares reports and statements, analyzes accounting data, and examines accounts. Duties The Accounting Technician reviews and processes various accounting documents including customer and vendor transactions for all organizations within the Business Services Division Accounting Office, in the U.S. Naval Academy's Non-Appropriated Fund Instrumentality (NAFI), Annapolis, MD. Responsible for the accuracy of accounting information and of the processing of financial documents, the employee organizes accounting transactions, maintains and reconciles accounts, closes accounts and prepares reports and statements, analyzes accounting data, and examines accounts. Requirements Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance – requires 18 years of age Males born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service Verification of employment eligibility in the United States is required - We are an E-Verify participant Probationary period: Full Time employees serve a one-year probationary period.
