Buzzworthy Roofing is a brand-new startup built to scale fast and sell smart. We're looking for our very first sales hire — not a rep, not an order-taker. A founding sales leader who will own the entire revenue function from day one.

THE OPPORTUNITY: FIRST IN, FOUNDATION BUILDER

This isn't a job posting. It's an invitation to co-build something from the ground up. You'll be the architect of our entire sales operation — installing a proven playbook, building the team around it, and owning the results.

Our goal: grow Buzzworthy Roofing to $20M in annual revenue and execute a strategic exit to private equity. When that happens, you won't just be an employee who was there — you'll be someone who made it happen. And you'll be compensated through phantom equity.

• Day 1: Get in the Trenches — You're selling, prospecting, learning our market. The playbook tells you how. You make it happen.

• Month 1: Install the Infrastructure — CRM, onboarding process, hiring criteria. The blueprint exists. You're building it out.

• Month 3+: Grow the Team — Start adding reps. Train them on the system. Lead from the front.

• $20M Exit: Get Paid — Phantom equity means you share in what this company sells for. You ran the play. You get a piece of the win.

COMPENSATION: HOW YOU'LL GET PAID

• Base + aggressive commission on personal sales

• Override/team bonus as you build and lead your sales team

• Phantom equity participation — a real economic stake in the company's eventual PE exit

• Generous Upside — maximum earning potential, no territory limit, no ceiling

Compensation:

$75,000 - $90,000 yearly

Responsibilities:

• Maintain up-to-date information on our services and products, industry, competition, and market conditions in order to present them to clients and ensure customer needs are met
• Speak to potential customers to introduce our services or new products
• Develop and execute a strategy to generate new customers in your sales territory
• Keep company abreast of new business development opportunities, account status, potential customers, customer needs, and competitive issues using CRM
• Attend online and in-person meetings, trainings, trade shows, and sales events

THE ROLE: WHAT YOU'LL OWN

• Convert company-provided leads with discipline and a high close rate

• Proactively canvas and prospect when the pipeline needs feeding — storm damage, aging roofs, commercial work

• Install and execute the proven sales playbook from day one

• Recruit, hire, and develop a team of reps as we scale

• Own the entire revenue number — not just your personal quota

• Report directly to ownership and help shape company growth strategy

• Know when to delegate and when to get back in the field

Qualifications:

• CRM experience preferred
• We prefer if you have a bachelor’s degree or high school school diploma
• Applicant must have a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Applicant must have strong customer service, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
• Proven track record of sales experience, 3-5 years
