Join us and help shape the future of Lhoist North America. Position Summary The Talent Acquisition (T.A.) Specialist is responsible for hourly recruitment sourcing in the East Lime and Minerals divisions, while also providing recruiting process support for the T.A. team on salaried recruitment. Key duties include candidate identification and attraction, company branding, candidate experience, onboarding, and social media initiatives. Day-to-day responsibilities will include development of offer letters, initiation and review of pre-hire screens and assessments, support of new hire orientation, assistance with updating job position descriptions, scheduling candidate screenings and participating in interviews, providing recurring updates to hiring managers, HRBPs, and stakeholders, communicating and processing candidate dispositions, and other HR tasks, as needed (i.e., employee benefits, employee engagement). Responsibilities & Expectations Develop and implement strategies to research, source, recruit, and retain diverse hourly candidates that will directly contribute to the Company’s growth and business goals. Manage the hourly recruitment process of East Lime and Minerals Divisions. Partner with managers to meet staffing needs by introducing top talent to the company and becoming a trusted recruitment business partner. Nurture relationships with managers and prospective talent, providing an excellent experience to both. Work collaboratively with Recruitment and HR teams. Perform general recruitment responsibilities tasks such as Workday data entry, job postings, launching assessments, sending required site safety forms, scheduling candidate travel, assisting with interview agenda, setting up video/phone/on‑site interviews, developing offer letters, and onboarding/offboarding activities. Assist and track updates of RREs (job descriptions) for hourly positions across locations of East Lime & Minerals Divisions. Lead all new hire orientations for employees and assist hiring managers with onboarding process development. Work closely with Recruiters, other TA Specialists and HR Leaders. Follow‑up with search firms, consultants, vendors, college/universities, and other partners to access diverse candidates and meet diversity goals. Maintain accurate data in Workday and manage both hard and digital records of employees and applicants. Assist with managing recruitment and retention data and analytics. Participate in planning, coordination, and execution of other HR activities such as employee engagement, benefits open enrollment, MVR process, and employee communication. Promote safety awareness and compliance across the organization. Perform other duties as assigned. Attributes Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously and handle large amounts of data. Ability to recommend and make decisions quickly. Proven hands‑on experience in month‑end closing for multiple plants and states. Self‑directed, able to influence and follow clear directions. Strong sense of urgency in meeting customer needs. Solid coordination and administration knowledge with support of HR subjects such as recruitment, onboarding, and community engagement. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Ability to organize, be detailed, and execute assigned projects. Prioritization and time‑management skills to meet deadlines. Willingness to learn, grow, and grasp new concepts, policies, and procedures. Maintain confidentiality and interact professionally at all levels. Initiative to lead and drive change. Willingness to work in the office and remotely as needed. Flexibility in working hours to meet customer demands and deadlines. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Previous Workday recruitment knowledge is a plus. Solid social media tool utilization (LinkedIn, Metaverse, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) is highly desired. Physical Demands Perform job duties safely and in compliance with company policies. Comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 25–50 lbs. Use hands and fingers for typing, handling objects, or operating equipment. Ability to see, hear, and communicate clearly. Read, comprehend, and follow written and verbal instructions. Work in environments including office, field, and outdoor settings. Experience in both office and mining environments, possibly exposure to temperature extremes, noise, and atmospheric conditions. Legally authorized to work in the United States. Successful completion of background check and/or drug screening. Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or shifts as required. Ability to travel up to 10% as needed. Required Education Associate degree in HR, Communication, Business, and/or Marketing, or equivalent combination of education and experience in HR. Preferred Education Bachelor’s degree is a plus. SPHR/PHR certification is a plus. Proficient Spanish language speaking and writing skills is a plus. Required Experience Minimum of 2–5 years of demonstrated talent acquisition experience across all levels, with diversity experience in a fast‑paced union or non‑union heavy manufacturing, construction, corporate, mining, and mineral processing environment. Previous recruitment and relocation coordination experience is highly desired. Preferred Experience Good understanding of HR functional areas such as recruitment, compensation, benefits, relocation, DE&I, and community engagement is a plus.
