We focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.Our location in Sylmar, CA currently has an opportunity for a Staff Facilities Engineer.Main Purpose Of The RoleProvide direction, leadership and management for Maintenance areaUtilize Maintenance Excellence metrics to achieve maintenance productivity, compliance, and financial goals while driving a high level of performance within the functional area.Actively support the professional development of individuals.Foster continuous improvement and encourage open communication.Interacts effectively and cooperatively, handles changes in work tasks and environment and takes prompt action to accomplish objectives.Main ResponsibilitiesDepartment Strategy to meet site goals: mandated training, bench marking, MeX/continuous improvement of planned & scheduled maintenance work, EMP improvements based on Maximo analysis of Work order historyPlanning & scheduling project work, critical spare replacementsEnsures compliance to GMP/ISO, EHS policies and regulations and AV Quality System requirements within Maintenance.On the Job Training for Supervisors, Equipment Engineers & Technicians. Coordinate instructor led training for Process/equipment knowledge including process/equipment green belt/problem solvingSpare parts & Obsolescence analysisEnsures supply continuity through maintenance and repair of Production and Quality equipment.QualificationsEducation Level Major/Field of Study or Equivalent Bachelors Degree (± 16 years) Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline preferredExperience Details Minimum 8 years Previous facilities or maintenance management experience. Supervisory experience preferred.Knowledge of the Quality System with understanding of the CAPA system and interrelated system.Experience selecting and managing vendors and contracts.Experience working in a broader enterprise/cross division business unit model preferred. Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.Strong leadership skills, including the ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback respectfully to build positive relationships and improve business results.Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced changing environment.Strong interpersonal and project management skills. Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.Multi-tasks, prioritizes and meets deadlines in timely manner. Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up skills and ability to hold others accountable.Ability to travel approximately 5-10%.The base pay for this position is $114,000.00 – $228,000.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
