Interior Designer

An Interior Designer is a collaborative, self-directed professional responsible for supporting the planning, design, coordination, and documentation of interior environments across all phases of a project. This role contributes to the successful delivery of projects through design ideation, technical execution, and cross-disciplinary coordination.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design ideation, development, and execution throughout all project phases.
• Participate in regular project communications, coordination efforts, and team discussions.
• Create design visualization materials, including presentation decks, renderings, and conceptual sketches.
• Produce and coordinate technical drawing sets for all project phases, including Design Development, Construction Documents, permitting, and bidding.
• Conduct material research and support product selection, specifications, and finish schedules.
• Assist with furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE) selection and procurement.
• Collaborate with project team members to ensure design intent, quality, and technical accuracy.
• Support documentation standards, organization, and consistency across project deliverables.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in Revit and BlueBeam.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• 4+ years of experience in the design industry, preferably in multifamily, commercial, or institutional building types.
• Experience with design software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Enscape, and Adobe Creative Suite.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Additional accreditations such as WELL, Passive House, or similar are highly valued.
• Commercial experience (housing preferred).
• Passion for design and engagement in extracurricular or industry-related activities is encouraged.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Washington, DC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $110000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
