Job Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized speech therapy sessions targeted at enhancing communication skills, language ability, fluency, voice usage, and swallowing functions.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, nurses, and medical staff to provide comprehensive care.
• Provide support and education to patients and their families to ensure progress continues beyond scheduled therapy sessions.
• Perform inpatient therapy evaluations and interventions as necessary, ensuring seamless continuity of care throughout the treatment process.
• Document all therapy interactions and patient progress in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education opportunities and active collaboration with peers.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not yet ASHA-certified.

Licenses and Certifications

• State licensure as a Speech Language Therapist.
• Preferred: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be secured within 30 days of hiring.
