Your engagement will often include having flexible schedules to accommodate clients’ needs, including evening and weekend sessions.

Key Responsibilities\n

  • \n
  • Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions employing evidence-based practices, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, to inspire positive change.
  • \n
  • Collaborate effectively with fellow healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate integrated treatment approaches.
  • \n
  • Provide education and support to clients’ families, fostering an understanding of the recovery process and how they can contribute positively.
  • \n
  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with healthcare regulations and ethical standards.
  • \n
Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with individuals grappling with substance abuse issues, many of whom may also face co-occurring mental health disorders such as anxiety, depression, or trauma-related conditions. Your role will be crucial in guiding them through the complexities of addiction recovery while instilling hope and motivation.

Qualifications\n
    \n
  • A valid professional license in your state as an LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or PsyD.
  • \n
  • A bachelor’s degree is required, with a master’s or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field being preferred.
  • \n
  • Previous experience in a counseling role specifically focused on addiction treatment and mental health therapy.
  • \n
Preferred Experience\n
    \n
  • Demonstrated specialized training in addiction counseling or recovery coaching.
  • \n
  • Familiarity with the latest evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities tailored for substance use treatment and dual diagnoses.
  • \n
  • Strong therapeutic skills designed to engage, motivate, and empower clients throughout their recovery process.
  • \n
Compensation and Benefits\n

The compensation for this role is competitive, with an annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, depending on experience and credentials. We offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plans, generous paid time off, and professional development opportunities that encourage growth specifically within addiction counseling.
