MRI Technologist Shift Details

• Schedule: Sunday-Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM
• Shift Length: 5x8.0
• Holidays, on-call, and callback per unit needs
• Assignment Length: 17 Weeks

Position Overview

• We are seeking an MRI Technologist to join our team
• Must have an associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology
• Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is a plus
• Must be familiar with medical terminology
• Must be able to stand for extended periods

Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
• Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
• Insert IVs when necessary for the test
• Document all procedures while maintaining the confidentiality of patient information
• Patient care tasks as needed

Required Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience
• BLS certification - American Heart Association ONLY
• GE Scanner experience - MUST HAVE TO BE CONSIDERED
• Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• Certification through the ARRT
• Injection Certification - MUST HAVE TO BE CONSIDERED
• NY License ONLY - must be willing to obtain NYS Rad Tech license after starting

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification through the ARRT or a similar organization (preferred/highly desired)
