Bilingual Workers' Comp Legal Assistant - Growth & Impact

Parente & Norem, P.C. is now seeking an experienced Workers’ Compensation Legal Assistant to join our growing team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast paced legal environment and has hands‑on experience handling Illinois workers’ compensation matters from intake through settlement. Responsibilities Assist attorneys with all aspects of Illinois workers’ compensation cases Prepare and file documents with the Illinois Workers’ Compensation Commission (IWCC) Coordinate and track Independent Medical Examinations (IMEs) Maintain case files, deadlines, and hearing schedules Communicate with clients, medical providers, employers, and insurance adjusters Manage Temporary Total Disability (TTD) status updates and related documentation Draft correspondence and routine legal documents Request and organize medical records and billing records Assist with settlement documents and case resolution Perform general case management and administrative support functions Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of workers’ compensation legal assistant experience Bilingual in Spanish and English required Working knowledge of Illinois workers’ compensation procedures and terminology Experience with IWCC filings, IMEs, TTD benefits, and case management Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast‑paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management systems preferred What We Offer Competitive compensation based on experience Benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, and Retirement Supportive and collaborative work environment Opportunity for long-term growth within a respected top tier Chicago law firm Meaningful work helping injured workers throughout Illinois #J-18808-Ljbffr Law Offices of Parente & Norem, P.C.
