Registered Nurse – Pediatric CVICU

Houston, Texas

Experienced Pediatric CV & Post-Operative RN Experience Required

Join a growing Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CICU) in Houston and care for critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease and complex post-operative needs.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Pediatric ICU / Pediatric CV RN looking to join a high-acuity cardiovascular program and make a meaningful impact on children and their families.

Compensation & Benefits

• Up to $65.10/hour base rate
• $4.00/hour Night Differential
• $2.00/hour Weekend Differential
• Up to $30,000 Sign-On Bonus
• Up to $10,000 Relocation Assistance
• Full-Time, Permanent Position

Shift Options

Days: 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM

Nights: 11:00 PM – 11:00 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients with congenital heart disease and/or complex post-operative needs
• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document individualized, family-centered care plans
• Provide safe, therapeutic care in a high-acuity pediatric critical care environment
• Monitor and respond to changes in patients' clinical conditions
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary care team
• Provide ongoing patient and family education and support
• Participate in unit-based initiatives, quality improvement, and evidence-based practice
• Maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Pediatric ICU experience in an acute-care hospital
• Acute Pediatric Cardiovascular (CV) and Post-Operative experience required
• Experience caring for pediatric patients with congenital heart disease and/or post-cardiac surgical needs strongly preferred
• Associate Degree in Nursing ( ADN ) required; BSN preferred
• Candidates currently enrolled in a BSN program may be considered with completion within 24 months
• BLS/BCLS required within 30 days of hire
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire
• PALS required within 6 months of hire
• CCRN certification preferred
