Our services include landscape maintenance, irrigation, landscape enhancements, snow and ice management, and other exterior property services. We are looking for an experienced part-time bookkeeper who can take ownership of our day-to-day accounting records and help keep our financial information accurate, reconciled, and current. This is not simply a data-entry position. We are looking for someone who understands bookkeeping, knows QuickBooks Online, recognizes when something doesn't look right, and can independently research and resolve routine accounting issues. Responsibilities Maintain company accounting records in QuickBooks Online Review and categorize bank and credit-card transactions Perform monthly bank and credit-card reconciliations Maintain Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable Record and verify customer payments Monitor outstanding receivables and assist with collection tracking Enter and review vendor bills and expenses Maintain vendor and subcontractor records Track equipment, vehicle, loan, and liability accounts Reconcile payroll-related transactions Maintain 1099 vendor information Assist with year-end 1099 preparation Prepare and/or assist with Washington State excise tax filings Maintain records supporting Washington B&O and sales/use tax reporting Assist with applicable Idaho sales-tax reporting Review monthly Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet reports Identify unusual transactions, duplicate charges, misclassifications, and discrepancies Assist with month-end closing Maintain organized supporting documentation Coordinate with management and our CPA/tax professionals Assist with budgeting, cash-flow reporting, and job-cost reporting as needed Qualifications Required: 3+ years bookkeeping/accounting experience Strong QuickBooks Online experience Bank and credit-card reconciliation experience Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience Strong understanding of basic accounting principles Microsoft Excel proficiency Excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently Strong organizational skills Ability to maintain confidential financial information Highly Preferred: Washington Department of Revenue excise-tax experience Washington B&O and sales/use tax experience Idaho sales-tax experience Full-charge bookkeeping experience Job-cost accounting Payroll reconciliation 1099 preparation Multi-state accounting experience Construction, landscaping, trades, or field-service accounting experience Schedule: Approximately

The position may include a combination of office and remote work after initial training and successful establishment of accounting procedures. Compensation $28–$34/hour

, depending on experience. Candidates with significant QuickBooks Online, Washington excise-tax, multi-state, and full-charge bookkeeping experience may qualify toward the upper end of the range.
