Registered Nurse – Oncology / PCU

Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a mixed PCU, Oncology, and Med/Surg unit serving an adult patient population
• Manage and titrate drips including insulin, Cardizem, heparin, and chemotherapy agents
• Monitor patients using hemodynamic equipment including CVP, A-line, Swan, and EV-1000
• Perform hourly rounding and maintain patient experience standards
• Float to same-level-of-care Med/Surg and PCU units as needed
• Participate in a 2-day unit orientation including a required open-book skills assessment with a minimum passing score of 90%

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience in Oncology and/or PCU
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• ONS/ONCC certification required
• Ability to self-schedule and adhere to every-other-weekend requirement
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; compliance is required to maintain contract

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Chemotherapy certification (preferred but not required)
• Experience with EPIC EMR within the past 6 months
• Familiarity with Alaris IV pumps and ventilator management
• Prior travel nursing experience welcomed; first-time travelers accepted
