Assistant Store Manager

Job Summary The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) assists the general manager with day‑to‑day store operations while adhering to Global Partner's policies and procedures. Responsibilities Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline. Supervise, develop, train and discipline non‑exempt (hourly) employees, holding them accountable for upholding operational standards. Monitor shift cash handling and inventory; investigate shortages or overages of $100 per month or less and inventory variations of 0.5% of sales or less. Maintain business records, review cashier accountability sheets and records prescribed by the General Manager or Territory Manager. Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties as requested, adhering to all Global Partner cash‑control policies. Manage cash‑management procedures including bank deposits and change orders. Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards according to Global Partner store image standards. Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation; ensure store is secure and safe, complying with all safety and environmental guidelines. Report any issues to proper authority and management. Ensure adequate gasoline levels and coordinate gasoline deliveries. Engage in all company promotional initiatives and promote a high level of guest service. Perform duties as required by company policies and procedures, including the Company Handbook. Additional Requirements Must be available to work flexible hours that may include day, nights, weekends, and holidays. Qualifications 1–2 years supervisory experience. Ability to work independently. Strong communication, basic math, reading and writing skills. Basic computer function proficiency. Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license. Ability to work in intermittent temperatures, outside, cooler environments. Physical ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and lift up to 25 lbs during a shift. Freedom to access all areas of the store. At least 18 years old. High school diploma or equivalent. Compensation Pay Range: $20.81 – $24.02 per hour. Final amount offered will be based on experience, skills, abilities and geographic location. Company reserves the right to modify base salary.
