New college graduates are provided with mentorship, networking, and leadership opportunities, which give our new team members life-long connections and skills.​ Summary of Role: Based in Plano, Texas, this new college graduate role is for individuals interested in building a career in hardware design verification for RISC-V processors and cores. The engineer will use modern verification tools and methodologies to validate design functionality, develop verification environments, debug failures, and support verification closure. Essential Responsibilities include: Review design, microarchitecture, and RISC-V architecture specifications and translate requirements into verification plans and test scenarios.

Develop and maintain testbenches, test cases, checkers, assertions, and verification models for processor and core functionality.

Execute directed and regression testing, analyze simulation results, debug test failures, and collaborate with design and architecture teams to resolve issues.

Develop and monitor functional and code coverage, close verification gaps, and contribute to verification flows, automation, and methodology improvements.

Other Responsibilities: Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications: Education – Graduating with Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field from an accredited degree program.

Must have at least an overall 3.0 GPA and proven good academic standing.

Language Fluency - English (Written & Verbal)

Preferred Qualifications: Prior related internship or co-op experience.

Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc.

Strong interest in leveraging AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, streamline workflows, and support effective decision-making.

Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Strong planning & organizational skills

Knowledge of computer architecture, RISC-V processors, VLSI design, Verilog/SystemVerilog, and typical IP or SoC development and verification processes.

Experience with UNIX environments, assembly programming, UVM, scripting, simulation tools, formal verification, or hardware emulation is preferred.
